Extra Curricular Activities

The EYP (European Youth Parliament) represents a non-partisan and independent educational project which is tailored entirely to the needs of the young European citizen.

The EYP encourages independent thinking and socio-political initiative in young people and facilitates the learning of crucial social and professional skills. Since its inauguration,  tens of thousands of young people have taken part in regional, national and international sessions, formed friendships and made international contacts across and beyond frontiers. It has thus made a vital contribution towards the uniting of Europe.

At Ted Zonguldak College our students participate and represent our school properly in this international area.

Today the EYP is one of the largest platforms for political debate, intercultural encounters, political educational work and the exchange of ideas among young people in Europe. The EYP consists of a network of 33 European associations and organisations in which thousands of young people are active in an honorary capacity.

As a continuation of EYP we also take part in GYS every year. This outstanding platform helps gather high school students from all over the world providing an overall understanding between nations or different cultural backgrounds.

All students participate in these projects. School Counselling Service carries out a survey which is about the probable community work groups and  students  complete it, and according to the result the service list the names of them. Each student chooses a group and during the semester they work under the guidance of teachers.

The list of groups currently active is as follows:

1.      Helping Poor Schools

2.      Helping underclassmen with their lessons, assignments and projects

3.      Raising  awareness about community rules

4.      Helping  Non-Governmental Organizations

5.      Helping people in a dependent capacity
